The North West NMP Leads Community has moved to NHS Futures
The NMP Zone was developed by The Health & Education Co-operative to provide a dedicated online space for North West NMP Leads to connect, share best practice, access key resources and support collaboration across non-medical prescribing education and practice.
Since its launch, the NMP Zone has played an important role in supporting the North West NMP Leads Community and the wider development of non-medical prescribing across the region. As the community has continued to grow and evolve, we have supported its move to NHS Futures, a collaboration platform for people working across health and care.
The North West NMP Leads Community continues to support NMP Leads across the region by helping them connect with one another, share best practice, access useful resources and collaborate on matters relating to non-medical prescribing education and practice. The community meets quarterly, primarily online, with occasional in-person meetings. Members can also access a range of helpful files, resources and shared information through the community space on NHS Futures.
Accessing the community
The North West NMP Leads Community is a closed community for NMP Leads and HEI NMP Programme Leads based in the North West of England.
If you are an NMP Lead, HEI NMP Programme Lead, or regularly deputise for an NMP Lead, you can access the community by logging in to NHS Futures and searching for: North West NMP Leads.
How we continue to support the community
The Health & Education Co-operative continues to support the North West NMP Leads Community and remains committed to supporting safe, effective and accessible non-medical prescribing education.
We continue to provide administrative support for North West NMP Leads Community meetings and access to key education and assessment resources. This includes:
- SN@P: used by NMP Leads to set up pre course numeracy assessments (and by individuals to test and improve their numeracy skills before an NMP course).
- Preparing to Prescribe: provides foundation knowledge and helps individuals prepare for the NMP course.
- DPP course: for DPPs to complete when supporting NMP students.
- NMP CPD courses: from Legal updates to Pharmacology Refresher.
